Make and share music for free

Publishing an album costs $0 with a free Hraness account, and anyone can listen without an account. The MIDI editor also costs $0: you can open, edit, play, save locally, and share a composition without creating a Soundfish account.

Included at $0

  • Audio publishing: 1 album, 10 tracks, 25 revisions per track, 200 MiB per file, and 2 GiB storage with a free account.
  • Album pages with the waveform player, hearts, comments, play counts, the embeddable player, and Markdown twins.
  • The browser piano-roll editor and fixed General MIDI playback.
  • Self-contained composition links and local browser storage.
  • The downloadable Soundfish skill and published Bun CLI, including the soundfish audio publishing verbs.
  • Lossless Soundfish JSON and interoperable MIDI downloads.
  • Optional sign-in and loop sync.

Price and other costs

Soundfish has no paid plan or usage fee. Your album’s manage page shows how much storage you have used and which limit an upload reaches.

A $0 price does not make the application open source. Read the license terms for source and redistribution terms.

The CLI can orchestrate separately installed StemDeck and Basic Pitch tools for authorized local song imports. Soundfish charges no usage fee for that command, but third-party services, network access, storage, and local compute remain the user's responsibility.
